Greetings Beloved!

As Christian’s, every day is a celebration in Christ Jesus.  This month in particular, we have commemorative holidays that cause us to pause in our busy schedules and honor God that much more with The National Day of Prayer (May 3), Mother’s Day (May 13), Pentecost (May 23), Global Day of Prayer (May 27) and Memorial Day (May 30).

Pentecost begins at sundown May 22 this year, according to the Jewish calendar.  The word “Pentecost” literally means “fifty” in the Greek language.  It is the 50th day after Passover, according to the Jewish calendar.  Although some Christian churches celebrate Pentecost on the 50th day after Easter Sunday.

In short, Pentecost commemorates the birth of the Christian church when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and disciples of Jesus Christ in the Upper Room, as described in Acts chapter 2.  This move of God was foretold via prophesies in Ezekiel 36:27, Isaiah 44:3 and Joel 3:1-5 (Joel 2:28-32 in KJV).  It is a time to honor Jesus for His liberty, freedom and salvation.

If you would like to know more about the history and celebration of Pentecost, please visit these websites:

For a celebration of the Global Day of Prayer, remember and pray likewise 2 Chronicles 7:14, which says, “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”  (NKJ)  Other key scriptures to pray are I Timothy 2:14 and Proverbs 14:34.

Many celebrations, fasts and gatherings occur for the Global Day of Prayer.  Just Google this holiday to learn how and where you can participate.

Concerning God’s Love @ Work, we have much to celebrate as well.  The Lord gave us an amazing breakthrough to reach more female workers.  Just last week, we signed a contract with and, the latter being the largest Christian website in the world, to place our weekly devotionals on their websites.

We also have placed new affiliates on our website, including From You Flowers, which delivers flowers anywhere within the U.S. and offers a $5-off coupon;, which offers a free gift with your order; Luggage Online, which offers 70% off name brand luggage; the Apple Store; and

When you place your order from the God’s Love @ Work website to these affiliate websites, the pay-back proceeds are used to further build the God’s Love @ Work ministry.  This is another way in which you can sew seed into this much-needed women’s ministry.

Check back for more affiliates as they become available.

May the mercy, the grace, the love and the blessings of God pour over you, your family, your church, your city and your work during this precious feast of Pentecost and seeking His face.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen!

In His Mighty Love,

Margaret D. Mitchell
